Cell Phone tracking
If you have a cell phone that comes with a GPS capability, then by downloading the appropriate GSM Tracker application software to the phone and then setting it up so that it can communicate with our server, the phone will be treated just like one of our three GPS tracking units by the server software. Naturally some of the facilities available on our GPS tracking devices will not be available. In fact the phone will be seen as just another personal tracking device and if the cell phone is left in a car it will act as a vehicle tracker. This is a very cost effective way of utilising a second hand GPS enabled phone. Bluetooth enabled GPS devices may also be connected via your cell phone to our server using a cell phone without GPS functionality.
We are able to support certain Nokia phones and soon we will be able to suport Android phones.
If you would like to try out how this works, you will have to download one of the trial versions of the two phone applications and we will be happy to give you one week's free access to our server software as a trial. Once the week's trial is over and if you wish to continue with cell phone tracking you will need to sign up for one of our subscriptions and purchase the full version of the phone software. This software is perfectly safe for your cell phone.
Please do not violate anyone's privacy and ensure that the owner of the phone is aware of the tracking software operating on the phone. You could face criminal action otherwise.
The software for the Nokia phones allows you to communicate with the phone it is installed on by SMS and as it is a higher end product it carries a price tag to obtain the licence key.
